The WAPC250 is an automatic on/off pool cover water removal pump with a max flow rate of 3000 gallons per hour using a 1-1/4" drain hose. It includes a check-valve with a 3/4" garden hose adapter to reduce repetitive cycling, a 25-foot power cord (always plug into a gfci outlet), and a 25-foot "pull to shore" rope to help position the pump on the pool cover. In freezing temperatures, the pump should be removed from service and stored indoors to protect it from ice damage. The pump has a unique protection circuit to safeguard the motor from a locked impeller condition caused by debris buildup or ice formation. If a locked impeller condition is detected, the pump will automatically shut down to prevent motor overheating and will continue an on/off cycle to attempt to free the impeller, eventually remaining off for 12 hours to check twice a day for a freed impeller. To reset this delay without waiting 12 hours, momentarily unplug the pump.

The WAYNE 1/4 HP Reinforced Thermoplastic Pool Cover Pump, model WAPC250, is equipped with iSwitch technology that activates the pump when the water level is at or above 2 1/8", and deactivates it when the water is at or below 3/4". The pump requires a water level of at least 2-1/8" to turn on, prime, and operate, and will not activate the iSwitch with water levels below this, requiring manual activation. The energy-efficient, high flow, oil-free pump has an easy on/off feature for worry-free water removal all winter long, with automatic freeze protection to prevent pump damage. The strainer base filters out debris to minimize clogging and prevent tipping over, and the pump includes a 3/4" garden hose adapter and check valve to reduce repetitive cycling.

Proudly assembled in the USA, the pump is warrantied for 3 years and will not run dry. It activates when the water level is at or above 2 1/8 inches, and deactivates when the water level is at or below 3/4 inches.
